OSPREYS UNDER 16's MISS OUT

The Young Ospreys Under 16's slim chance of defending the Regional Under 16 Championship ended with a 0-15 defeat at home to the Blues North.The Ospreys had territorial and possession advantage during the first half but strong Blues North defence denied the home team resulting in both sides arriving at half time with no points on the board.     The second half started with early pressure from the Blues North resulting in a try for prop Tom Jones converted by outside half Lewis Williams, a further penalty by Williams extended the visitors lead to 0-10. The Blues North sealed victory with an unconverted  breakaway try by flanker Callum Thomas. The Young Ospreys had opportunities to reduce the deficit with a Will Thomas penalty hitting the upright and winger Nathan Brooks was forced into touch in the corner after a strong 60m run.
