2013/14 away jersey out Saturday

Ospreys fans will get their first look at the new away jersey on Saturday afternoon when it is unveiled at the launch of the O-Zone ahead of the game against Worcester Warriors.

The O-Zone in a new family focussed pre-match area located in the North Stand concourse area, which is replacing the Supporters Village for the coming season.

Hosted by Ospreys scrum-half Rhys Webb it will be open from 12.30pm, two and a half hours ahead of kick-off, with supporters able to meet the matchday squad who will be in the O-Zone between 12.45pm and 1.15pm signing autographs before non-playing members of the squad arrive to mingle with fans until 2.45pm.

At 2.00pm, the wraps will come off the new-look second jersey when it is revealed by some of the players present in the O-Zone. It will then be available to purchase from the Liberty Stadium Club Shop post-match, which will be staying open especially to allow fans the chance to pop in after the game has finished.

The home jersey featuring a Celtic Shield design across the torso combined with a splash of orange trim went on sale earlier this month and has gone down a storm with supporters who are now eagerly awaiting their first glimpse of the away shirt.

Ospreys Commercial Manager, Yarnie Guthrie, said:

“After the fantastic response to the new home jersey, our supporters will get their first opportunity to see the away jersey before the game on Saturday afternoon which will then go on sale at the Club Shop straight after the match.

“The design of the home jersey has gone down extremely well with our supporters and is flying out of the Club Shop. The combination of the Celtic Shield design and the fresh and vibrant orange is proving very popular. Supporters are now waiting to see what the away jersey looks like and I’ve absolutely no doubt that they will absolutely love it when is revealed in the O-Zone on Saturday afternoon.”

The 2013/14 home jersey will be available exclusively from the Club Shop for a short period, in a range of sizes from XS Boys through to 4XL, priced at £39.99 for child sizes and £49.99 for adults.

There’ll be lots going on at the new O-Zone throughout the afternoon from 12.30pm, with activity inside the concourse and outside in the compound to the rear of the North Stand, with a kids play area sponsored by B&Q.

There’ll be fun and games for children of all ages, including the ever-popular Ospreys rugby themed inflatables and giant garden games including Jenga, Connect Four and Hopscotch.

As well as radio partners the Wave, who will be broadcasting the Chart Show live from their truck with giveaways and games, the O-Zone will also have a special arts and crafts area where young supporters can turn their hands to a wide range of activities including banner making or even writing letters to your favourite Ospreys players, while Ozzie the Osprey will be in attendance throughout the day.
