Sir Colin Meads and Buck Shelford visit Liberty

Ospreys Rugby are proud to support our partners, Velindre Cancer Centre and Liberty Stadium, at a special event featuring All Black legends Sir Colin Meads and Buck Shelford on Wednesday 20th November

Sir Colin was more than just the most famous forward in world rugby, he is regarded by many as New Zealand's greatest ever rugby player, and was named Player of the Century at the NZRFU Awards dinner in 1999. He is a member of both the International Rugby Hall of Frame and the New Zealand Sports Hall of Frame.

Wayne Shelford made his Test debut for the All Blacks against France in a 19–7 victory in Toulouse, and then was a notable victim of the infamous "Battle of Nantes". He then took over as All Black captain after winning the Rugby World Cup. During his captaincy from 1987 to 1990, the All Blacks did not lose a single game.

The evening will commence at 7.30pm and will include a sumptuous two-course dinner, tales of rugby’s golden era, live Q&A, raffle and auction. Your host for the evening will be none other than Phil Kingsley Jones, former manager and mentor of rugby sensation Jonah Lomu.

Andrew Morris Head of Fundraising at the Velindre Cancer Centre said “We are delighted that the event will be supporting Velindre. Money raised from tonight will contribute towards our work supporting cancer patients and their families throughout Wales.

Tables of 10 are available at £400. A quantity of individual covers on shared tables are also available at £40 per head. We also have x30 VIP tickets available at £65 per person. You will receive a champagne reception with Buck and Sir Colin in one of the stadium's executive suites along with prime location seating for the main event.

This is an exclusive all ticket event. Tickets available via www.theeventsroom.co.uk or our ticket line on 0845 108 5690 (office hours).
