Buy tickets for Cardiff Blues and Leinster and win dinner with two players at your home!
Supporters are being offered the chance to win a unique double date with the Ospreys ahead of big PRO12 matches against Leinster and Cardiff Blues in March and April, that could see them welcoming two players to their house for an intimate dinner specially prepared by a leading chef.
The money can’t buy prize is up for grabs with all supporters enjoying a chance to win an unforgettable experience.
There are two double dates up for grabs, with everyone who takes advantage of a great value ticket deal for the two games being entered into the draw, while all season members also go into their own draw.
Two lucky winners will take delivery of all the ingredients needed for a slap-up meal for them and up to three friends and family, straight from the Ospreys commercial partners Tesco. Then, leading Welsh chef, Leon Williams, will arrive to cook up a storm in the kitchen, before the winners are joined for the double date by two Ospreys players, ensuring a fantastic evening for everyone.
Leon is a Development Chef for specialist heritage caterers, Elior, who provide the catering at three of the Amgueddfa Cymru National Museums of Wales sites – National Museum Cardiff, St Fagans National History Museum and Swansea's National Waterfront Museum.
He is responsible for developing and creating menus for special occasions such as weddings, awards ceremonies and events as well as overseeing the food offering within each of the museums' restaurant and café outlets. Leon prides himself on using the freshest, seasonal, locally sourced ingredients with a focus on giving diners a truly memorable experience.
He was recently named as one of Elior’s 2013 culinary competition grand finalists. Elior is a global catering company that works across many sectors including business, defense, heritage, tourist attractions and stadia.
If you’re an existing Ospreys season member, there’s no need for you to do anything, you’re in the draw already. If you aren’t, to qualify for the chance of entertaining two Ospreys at your home for a very special double date, all you need to is purchase the special ticket package for the Welsh derby against Cardiff Blues on Friday 21st March, and what could prove a crucial game in the push for the play-offs, against Leinster on Friday 11th April.
‘Double Date’ tickets offer fantastic savings on usual match day prices, with adult tickets for the two games costing just £30 in standard seating areas, or £40 for premium seating.
Yarnie Guthrie, Ospreys Commercial Manager, said that he anticipated the chance to enjoy a special double date with the Ospreys in your own home would go down well with supporters.
“The Double Date is a fantastic offer in terms of ticketing prices for two big games at the Liberty Stadium, so everybody is a winner even if they just take advantage of the special offer and aren’t fortunate enough to be drawn for the big prize” he said.
“The prize winners will be able to enjoy a fantastic experience that really is something money can’t buy. To welcome two Ospreys into your house and be cooked for by a leading chef, with all the ingredients provided completely free of charge by Tesco is something that certainly doesn’t happen every day.
“We are extremely grateful to Tesco, and to Leon Williams at Elior, for supporting this fantastic promotion that will create a real stir among supporters over the next couple of months leading up to the big games. What more could any Ospreys fan want for £30? Match tickets for two of the biggest matches of the season and a chance to win a double date with two of their heroes, as well as their family or friends is pretty special. Good luck to all our supporters.”
Leon Williams said:
“I’m really looking forward to cooking up a feast for the winning ticket holder and their friends. I’ll work with the winners to put together an exciting and tasty menu for their special meal with the Ospreys. It’s a great opportunity for a true Ospreys fan to meet their heroes and have a unique dining experience in the comfort of their own home and I’m delighted to be involved.”
Paul Sherman from Tesco commented:
“As a long-term commercial partner of the Ospreys, Tesco are delighted to be able to work with them and Elior on this exciting promotion. These are two huge games for the region’s hopes of reaching the play-offs, so if we can help drive ticket sales while providing a fun night in for the competition winners then all the better.”
