OSTC Foreign Exchange, part of London based global financial services company OSTC Group, were today confirmed as official jersey sponsors of the Ospreys, with the company’s logo to feature as main sponsor on the front of the region’s away jersey in 2014/15.

The news, which follows the announcement of a new partnership with BT Sport earlier this summer, is a further boost for the region and a vote of confidence in the business as it prepares for the new season.

OSTC were confirmed as the official foreign exchange partner of Ospreys Rugby in the summer of 2013, with the logo featuring on the left sleeve of the jersey during the season just ended.

That relationship has grown, with the company now providing services to all parties within the Liberty Stadium, and OSTC upgrading their sponsorship to feature as main sponsor on the front of the away jersey as well as taking up secondary positions on the front and back of the home shirt.

Yarnie Guthrie, Commercial Manager, Ospreys Rugby, commented:

“We have enjoyed a fantastic first year of working in partnership with OSTC Foreign Exchange. As with all our commercial relationships, the aim is always to grow them into long term partnerships that are mutually beneficial for all parties. It is great news for the region that not only do OSTC see real value in this relationship, but they have a desire to grow it, moving on to the front of our away jersey.

“As a truly global business with a strong presence in Swansea this makes absolute sense for all parties. We compete in cross border competitions with a substantial number of our away fixtures taking place in the Eurozone, so for OSTC to have a visible presence on our away jersey when we are playing overseas is a natural progression to the relationship that fits their business model perfectly.

“OSTC’s expertise also benefits us in our multiple international financial transactions each season, while our other commercial partners also have access to their services. A prestigious company like OSTC growing its investment into the Ospreys is a huge vote of confidence in how we operate as a business off the field.”

Established in 1999, OSTC now has 15 international offices employing almost 500 staff in territories as diverse as Canada, Spain, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Turkey and India. It’s largest office is in Swansea, with 70 staff employed in the SA1 development.

In 2013 OSTC received the Ruban D'Honneur at the European Business Awards as one of the top 10 companies in Europe with a turnover of £26m-£150m.

OSTC will be working alongside the Ospreys’ new initiatives outside of Wales such as the London Ospreys, European sister club development and UAE grassroots sporting activity.

Mike Shirley, Managing Director, OSTC UK, said:

“Having spent a season working with the corporate team at the Ospreys and enjoying the rugby side also, it was an easy decision to have a more involved sponsorship role with the organisation.

“The vision set out by Andrew Hore and the team is one that ties very closely with OSTC and we truly believe in the work that they are setting out to do with their community projects. The support that the Ospreys have from the business community is continuing to grow and this makes our involvement all the more important. We look forward to continuing our friendships made last season and to new ones made in the coming season.”
