Ospreys assist community causes

Throughout November the Ospreys were again working with a number of different community and charity organisations to assist with their various fund raising initiatives.

The organisations supported by Ospreys Rugby this month are:

  • Macmillan Cancer
  • Craig  Cefn Parc Primary
  • Crohn’s and Colitis UK
  • Bishop Gore Comprehensive School
  • Red Cross
  • Penybanc RFC
  • St Thomas Primary School
  • Save the Children
  • Morriston Hospital
  • 14 in 14 challenge
  • Mumbles Cricket Club
  • Cash for Kids
  • Bridgend County Borough Council

Chantel Powe wrote in to say the tickets she received “will undoubtedly help the raffle raiste funds which will benefit all of the children of St Thomas Community Primary School.”

Every week the Ospreys receive a huge number of requests for our support for varying charitable causes. Such requests are received from widely differing parties, including corporate organisations, private individuals, schools and rugby clubs. Whilst we would like to be able to support every request, the high volume received unfortunately means that we are unable to do so.

As such, we have introduced a monthly draw system to give all requests a fair and equal opportunity of receiving a donation or assistance from the Ospreys.

All applications or requests must be made in writing at least one month before the event date in order to be entered into our monthly draw. Each month we select numerous applications to give away match tickets, signed merchandise or even special match day activities to be used in auctions and raffles to generate money for the chosen charitable cause.

We will continue to draw on the last working day of each month, with updates posted on the website.
