It was a disappointing weekend for the Ospreys’ contingent participating in the Pacific Nations Cup, with both Canada and Fiji failing to win.
Tyler Ardron and Jeff Hassler both featured for Canada as they lost an early 15-3 lead to lose 28-18 to Tonga in British Columbia.
Meanwhile, Josh Matavesi was a late replacement for Fiji, playing just the last three minutes as Samoa came back from 27-10 down to draw 30-30 in Sacramento.
The action continues on Wednesday when Fiji play Japan and Canada face Samoa in a double header in Toronto.
