With the Ospreys facing Cardiff Blues in a crucial RaboDirect PRO12 derby at the Liberty Stadium on Friday 30th November, less than 24 hours before Wales go into battle against Australia at the Millennium Stadium, supporters hoping to attend both games can take advantage of a fantastic ticketing deal that will make it more affordable to support region and country.
Under the terms of the initiative, which is aimed at rewarding everyone who invests in rugby at a regional or national level, any ticket holder for the international on Saturday 1st December can claim a cut-price ticket for the Cardiff Blues game the night before, with discounts available on both standard and premium seats.
On presentation of their Australia ticket at the Liberty Stadium Ticket Office, they will be entitled to one standard Cardiff Blues ticket for the price of just £10 (regular price £20) or a premium ticket for £20 (regular price £28). It couldn’t get any simpler than that.
Ryan Jones, who led Wales into action for a record 29th time at the Millennium Stadium on Friday night, said the deal was a fantastic one for any genuine rugby fan:
“There’s going to be a big crowd at the Millennium on the Saturday as there always is on international day and it’s obvious that there’ll be plenty of Ospreys fans at the game. This deal means that they don’t have to make a choice on what rugby they watch live over the weekend, as everyone supporting Wales can also watch a big Welsh derby for just £10. I know that all the boys in camp will be looking forward to seeing a big crowd at the Liberty as well.”
Ospreys Chief Operations Officer, Andrew Hore, said that he hoped to see plenty of fans taking up the offer:
“We realise that being a true supporter can be an expensive business, particularly during the international period when you can be faced with double header weekends like this one, when we have Cardiff Blues at the Liberty the day before Wales play Australia.
“We want to make it as affordable as possible for people to come and watch their region, hence the outstanding season membership packages this season, and we want to avoid, wherever possible the kind of clashes where fans have to make a choice over the Ospreys or Wales based on finances.
“What this initiative does is ensure that as many people as possible can enjoy a fantastic weekend of top class live rugby, starting on the Friday night with our first Welsh derby of the season at the Liberty Stadium.”
The International Ticket deal is available to every supporter who holds a Wales v Australia ticket. To claim your discounted ticket for the Ospreys v Cardiff Blues game, all you need to do is produce your international ticket for the Wales v Australia game in person at the Liberty Stadium Ticket Office no later than 6.00pm on Thursday 29th November.
This offer is open to any supporter, including season members, who is a ticket holder for the Wales v Australia game at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday 1st December. Discount available only on adult tickets for the Ospreys v Cardiff Blues game.
