There are a number of changes to the 23 that will face Yorkshire Carnegie in the British & Irish Cup this afternoon.
The game has been moved to Yorkshire’s regular Headingley ground after an early morning pitch inspection at Huddersfield YMCA ruled the pitch unplayable due to the heavy rain.
Richard Fussell, who was due to lead the team as captain, suffered a hand injury in training, which means he is unable to play. He is replaced in the starting line-up by winger Keelan Giles, with Kristian Phillips switching to full back. Cai Griffiths will now captain the team.
Meanwhile, there are three changes on the bench. Dan Suter didn’t travel, staying behind to provide cover for the senior squad as they prepare for this evening’s ERCC game at the Liberty Stadium against Exeter Chiefs (KO 5.30pm).
He is replaced in the 23 by Ryan Thomas.
Also withdrawn from the squad is Gareth Delve, due to an ongoing shoulder concern. His place on the bench goes to James Ratti, while Joe Gage fills Giles’ spot on the bench.
