Anticipation is growing ahead of the Easter weekend clash with the Scarlets at the Liberty Stadium, with demand for matchday hospitality and places in the TagFest II competition exceeding expectations
Supporters looking to enjoy the Big One versus the Scarlets this Easter in style have been advised to book their hospitality space now or miss out.
With the Ospreys welcoming their highest crowd of the season to the Liberty Stadium on Saturday 26th March for what promises to be the biggest ever derby clash between the Ospreys and their rivals from across the Loughor, 90 per cent of all hospitality spaces have already been snapped up with more than two weeks to go until the eagerly awaited match.
Just four hospitality boxes remain available, 25 of the 29 already full for the game, while there are just a handful of spaces still available for purchase in the Black and White Lounge, the exciting new hospitality lounge that provides a more refined way to enjoy the game on a match-by-match basis.
The Executive Club and 2003 Club are both full-up for the day so if you want to enjoy matchday hospitality then you need to book your space now.
Yarnie Guthrie. Commercial Manager at the Ospreys, said:
“We’ve had a fantastic response to this game, it’s definitely the most popular non-Christmas match in the five years I’ve been here in terms of the demand for hospitality.
“With more than two weeks to go we are close to a complete sell-out in the hospitality areas which is fantastic news. It shows the appetite that is out there for both regional rugby, and for big games at the traditional Saturday afternoon time slot.
“We are expecting to declare a complete hospitality sell-out well in advance of the Easter weekend so if you haven’t signed up to enjoy the game in style yet then don’t hang about or the spaces will be snapped up.”

Meanwhile, spaces are also filling up at TagFest II, the ultimate tag rugby festival hosted by Ospreys in the Community on the morning of the Scarlets game. Building on the work done at the first ever TagFest, ahead of last November’s derby clash against the Blues, TagFest II is set to be bigger and better, with room for just 10 more teams on the day.
Open to all junior clubs in the Ospreys and Scarlets regions, TagFest II will run from 9am to 1pm on Saturday 26th March at Bonymaen RFC, with all teams enjoying a minimum of four 10 minute TAG matches.
Each competing team will receive 10 child and 2 adult tickets to the hugely anticipated PRO12 derby between the Ospreys and the Scarlets at the Liberty Stadium that afternoon, as well as the chance to meet Ospreys players, and a certificate of participation.
Paul Whapham, Ospreys in the Community, said:
“What a way to spend an Easter Saturday, with a morning of rugby competition before watching the biggest and best derby match in Wales. This year, with the race for the Champions Cup well and truly on, it’s set to be the most important game ever between the two rivals. It’s going to be a great day, packed with memories for everyone participating and the response has been fantastic.
“We only have space for 10 more teams to compete on the day so I would urge anyone involved with a junior club who would like their team to participate to get in touch now, before it’s too late.”
