Two players have been ruled out of action after suffering fractures to the ankle.
Centre Ashley Beck limped out of last week’s PRO12 defeat to Edinburgh while full back Ross Jones, sustained his injury on international sevens duty with Wales in New Zealand earlier this month.
Medical Performance Manager, Chris Towers, confirmed:
“Ross was flown back from New Zealand for an operation where he had the ankle plated back together. He won’t play again this season but it is too early for any kind of accurate prediction of when he will be able to play again.
“In Ashley’s case, he fractured a small bone in his ankle and we are in the process of consulting specialists to establish the appropriate course of treatment, with timelines depending on the outcome of the ongoing investigations.”
