The first in a series of practical clinics presented by the Ospreys Coach Development Team, in conjunction with the local Referees Association, will take place at Dunvant RFC on Wednesday 2nd February (6.30pm).
Originally scheduled to take place in December but postponed because of the inclement weather, the clinic will kick off a series of practical sessions on how to referee various aspects of the game with the scrum being the first area to be covered.
WRU referee James Jones will make a presentation on the subject, while Ospreys and Wales prop Duncan Jones will be in attendance to provide a player’s insight into the world of scrummaging.
These sessions will be invaluable to coaches and will also help to improve the understanding between coaches and referees.
All active coaches across Ospreylia, whether involved in school, college or club rugby, are invited to attend what should be an informative and enjoyable evening, and are encouraged to make every effort to attend.
