EVERYONE DESERVES AN EASTER

Ospreys in the Community have once again teamed up with Ospreys Rugby, Swansea City, Swansea City AFC Foundation, Carolyn Harris MP and Morrisons, to ensure that those in need in our community do not miss out this Easter.

This campaign follows on from the very successful Everyone Deserves a Christmas campaign where over 2,000 Christmas hampers were created and distributed to families in need over the festive season.

“For five years now, we have worked together to ensure that nobody goes without at Christmas through our Everyone Deserves a Christmas campaign," said Carolyn Harris. "Last year we reached almost 2,000 households across Swansea with either hampers, cooked dinners on Christmas Eve or festive treats which were delivered to primary schools across the city.

"Alongside this we have always had our summer lunch clubs and initiatives running through the Easter holidays, but I am delighted that this year we have brought them all under the same umbrella with our Everyone Deserves an Easter campaign, delivering hampers to families who might otherwise struggle, and Easter treats to the children attending holiday clubs at the Swans and the Ospreys.

"I am always so proud to be a part of this team, and of the generosity of the people of Swansea to ensure that nobody goes without.”

Tom Sloane, Community Foundation Manager commented on the importance of such initiatives within the community: “We’re delighted to play a part in this initiative and help to make a difference in and around our local communities during the Easter holidays.

“Following on from the huge success of the Everyone Deserves a Christmas campaign, it’s an ideal opportunity to keep the momentum building throughout the year and support this worthwhile cause.”

We call upon supporters of Swansea City and Ospreys Rugby, along with the wider community to please donate an Easter Egg, or two, to this worthwhile cause.

Easter eggs can be brought in person to the Swansea.com Stadium at its main reception, between 21st March to 26th March 2022.

The Sunday lunch hampers will be distributed throughout the community by Carolyn Harris and her team of Swansea City AFC Foundation and Ospreys in the Community helpers.

We urge everyone to get involved and support those in need this Easter, being an important date in the annual calendar, its clear to see that Everyone Deserves an Easter.
