During the break in the WRU Age Grade Competition the Eyasses Under 16's have arranged fixtures against the three Districts as part of their continued quest for player identification within the region.
The two games so far have both resulted in wins for the Young Ospreys:
In game one at Swansea Uplands last Friday evening, the Eyasses overcame the strong challenge of Swansea District with a 15 - 7 victory through tries from Steve McMorran and Tom Lewis, with Adam Rowlands adding a conversion and penalty.
Game two was played at Pyle RFC yesterday evening (Wednesday) with the Eyasses and Bridgend District entertaining the large crowd with an excellent open game, the Eyasses eventually coming away with a 38- 21 victory.
They crossed for six tries in total, Tom Lewis , Owen Howe, Adam Rowlands, Jack Anderson, James Wild and James Needs touching down, with four converted by Liam Popham. In reply, tries for Bridgend came from Tom Matthews, Sam Jones(No8) and Kristian Stenner, with three conversions from Matthew Harris.
The Eyasses next fixture will be against Afan Nedd on Wednesday 6th October at Abercrave RFC, KO 6.30 pm.
