Full United Rugby Championship fixtures have been confirmed and Ospreys are set to host the Scarlets in the biggest game of the year for Welsh rugby as the Boxing Day derby returns to Swansea.com stadium on 26 December 2022.
The current URC Welsh Shield winners will open their 2022/23 URC campaign when they travel to Parc y Scarlets to battle the Scarlets on 17 September at 17:15. Ospreys’ first home game will see the Emirates Lions travel up North to Swansea.com Stadium on 24 September, followed by a second home game against Glasgow Warriors on 1 October.
In one of the most anticipated games of the year, Swansea.com will place host to the reigning URC champions when the DHL Stormers enter our shores for their clash on 15 October.
The return of the Boxing Day Derby will feature the biggest game of the year for Welsh rugby as Ospreys welcome Scarlets to Swansea.com for the West Welsh Derby on 26 December.
This season of URC will see the long-awaited return of Judgement Day as all the Welsh teams meet at Principality Stadium for a double header in the final round of the competition. Dragons RFC take on Scarlets and Ospreys go up against Cardiff Rugby on 22 April.
In an agreement between all Welsh regions and the WRU, all Boxing Day home teams will also be the home team for Judgement Day. This means all season members will be guaranteed a ticket and priority seating for the day. Further details, including transport plans, will be communicated in due course. This season will feature several matches kicking off at 15:00 and 17:15 on Saturday afternoons, offering supporters and their families the opportunity to experience a great day out.
