Ospreys in the Community would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Georgia Neal who recently ran the Swansea Half marathon for OitC.
Georgia raised £595 to support our Sporting Memories session for a cause close to her heart and in memory of her beloved Grandpa.
Georgia said: “I decided to train for and run the Swansea Half Marathon to raise awareness regarding dementia support and money for Ospreys in the Community and their Sporting Memories sessions. My grandpa sadly died last year from dementia. He was an incredible man who could not be more passionate about sports which he passed on to my dad and to me.
“I believe Sporting Memories is an amazing concept because I know my grandpa would have loved to have had something like this. Everyone is different and I think this an extremely unique way of helping people who are going through this. I want to fundraise for them but also raise awareness around what OitC do as there are people out there who would benefit from this.
“Thank you sporting memories for everything that you do!”
Thank you Georgia!
