The West Wales Derby is a special occasion to many for different reasons.
For the players, it’s an opportunity to go head-to-head with their countrymen; for supporters, it’s bragging rights for the rest of the season; for the community, it’s a chance to celebrate rugby in all its glory, regardless of where your loyalties lie.
In the opening week of going on sale for the Ospreys v Scarlets fixture, we’ve received an overwhelming response from our community clubs. Excited to take part in one of the most electric derby days in rugby, 32 age grade teams have already signed up to our feast of rugby.
Remarkably, Kenfig Hill will be bringing their junior section in its entirety; and we will also be welcoming large groups from Abercrave, Birchgrove, Cefn Coed, Cefn Cribwr, Cwmavon, Morriston, Porthcawl, Swansea Uplands, and Tondu. You don’t have to be a local side to take part in the West Wales Derby, we’ll be hosting a touring side from Nottingham and welcoming Tenby over the Loughour bridge.
It’s a day for all to enjoy, so if you want to get involved, take advantage of special Community Group ticket offers.

There’s more than 80 minutes of rugby at an Ospreys matchday at the Swansea.com Stadium. This matchday will be even bigger and better than ever before. Pre-match entertainment will be surrounding the stadium and there's sure to be something to keep you excited all around the grounds.
Tuck into some hearty gourmet street food from the stalls while enjoying a variety of music from a live stage to pump up the atmosphere. Let the young ones enjoy all on offer at the family friendly Ozone where they can test their tackling technique against our Tackle-o-meter, meet Ospreys stars, hone their reaction times on our light wall, or take on their friends on our game’s consoles.
And if all that wasn’t enough, you can then treat the entire family to all the thrills and enjoyment of a fairground that will be on the premises for game day. Make the most of your day out and enjoy these experiences before the game starts and after the final whistle. Put the date in your diary and buy your tickets now available from just £5.
Ospreys are now happy to confirm the date for another Welsh derby as we welcome Dragons to Swansea for the re-scheduled Boxing Day clash.
