It’s a battle of East v West for the stars of Premier Sports as they come together in Cardiff for a special charity night of entertainment for rugby supporters in aid of Velindre Cancer Centre.
As part of a Premier Sports Guinness PRO14 Roadshow, the special event will be held on December 18th (7pm) at the Principality Stadium, supported by Guinness PRO14, WRU, the four professional teams and the Joint Supporters Group in Wales (JSG).
Welsh Rugby’s finest players, past and present and high profile faces from Premier Sports TV coverage are set to pit themselves against each other to win the Welsh Derby quiz crown, as celebrities from the East (Cardiff Blues & Dragons) go head-to-head against stars from the West (Scarlets and Ospreys).
Sam Warburton, Shane Williams, Martyn Williams, Sean Holley, Tom Shanklin, Ross Harries and a host of special guests will be joined by rugby supporters for a special night of celebration ahead of the start of the Welsh derby festive season.
All proceeds from the event will be in aid of Velindre, Wales’ premier Cancer Centre, providing care, support and treatment to cancer patients and their families for over 60 years, whose patrons include Sam Warburton, Shane Williams and Martyn Williams.
The event is being organised by Premier Sports. the home of Guinness PRO14 rugby action in the UK, with 7 games each weekend throughout the season and the best analysis, commentary and inside track from its 20-strong team. It’s the first of a roadshow of Premier Sports supporter events being hosted in partnership with Guinness PRO14 with more to come in both Scotland and Northern Ireland in 2019.
