Gower College Swansea will clash with Bridgend College in a big Ospreylian derby on Wednesday at Vardre RFC in the WRU Colleges League.
The home team narrowly missed out on victory against rivals Neath Port Talbot last week and will be looking to step up their performance in order to clinch an all-important win over Bridgend.
In the reverse fixture earlier in the season, Bridgend came out in top edging the tie by five points. After a convincing 26-7 win over Bicton College, Somerset means Bridgend will be coming into this match looking to continue their good form.
Gareth Nicholas, Bridgend’s coach said: “We managed to pinch a win last time out and we will need to have all our players playing to the best of their ability to come away with a similar result. We are expecting a tough battle and we are excited.”
Neath Port Talbot will be hoping to put pressure on Llandovery College when they lock horns at Llandarcy tomorrow.
Second placed Llandovery will complete the double over Neath Port Talbot if they record victory. The home team will have the opportunity to leapfrog Coleg Morgannwg in the table and close the gap on Llandovery if they win.
