Ahead of making his 50th appearance for the Ospreys this weekend, we caught up with back-row Morgan Morris to hear his thoughts:
“I’m very excited about playing in my 50th game for the Ospreys this weekend. Its been a good time ever since I’ve been here and I’m enjoying making all the big milestones and hopefully there will be more to come.
“My personal best moment in an Ospreys jersey has to be the away win against Leinster last year. For them to be undefeated for two years and us to turn them over being quite a young team was a massive feeling for all the boys. It was pretty special to come away with man of the match too.
“I started off playing rugby with Penclawdd through their junior sections alongside Rhys Davies. Played all the way through the Ospreys academy’s before going to play in Hartpury. I always wanted to play for the Ospreys, it’s my home team and as much as I enjoyed playing up there I always wanted to come back and play for my home region.
“We’re looking forward to the physical test against the Lions this weekend. They’re a massive team up front and also we have to factor in the different conditions. We’re definitely not used to the heat back home in Swansea, so we have that and the altitude so it’s going to be an interesting one for us but if we can handle them up front we should be able to do well.
“For the rest of season we really want to push on and make it into the play-offs is a big one for us. We want to be top of the Welsh shield and for myself looking ahead hopefully another 50 for the Ospreys!”
