Heineken man of the match Dan Biggar was quick to praise the Ospreys team spirit after their win over Biarritz on Saturday afternoon.
Biggar kicked 23 points as the region began their Heineken Cup campaign in a positive fashion, and speaking post-match, he said it was very much a case of ‘job done’.
“It was a strange game to be involved in to be honest” he said.
“It went one way and then the other, we got ahead and we let them back into it again. We’re thrilled to bits to come out on top. If you don’t win you’re home games in this competition you might as well pack up and go home.
“We’ve done that, now we’ve got to back it up next week away against a good Treviso team. The Heineken Cup is the best competition in the world in my opinion, it’s a great tournament to be involved in.
“We’re getting there as a team. I think you saw the team spirit out there today, we dug in for one another. We may not be the team of stars that people say we were but we’ve certainly got a team of warriors and the boys are going to work hard for each other.”
