Ospreys in the Community are delighted to announce the launch of a second Mixed Ability Rugby Club for the region.
Following the success of our Inclusive Community Club atHeronsbridge School in Bridgend, OitC are delighted to be able to extend our mixed ability offering to the West of the region with a brand new club. The second ICC will be based at Morriston Leisure Centre and will run every Sunday from 9.30 – 10.30am, starting on March 10th. Sessions cost just £2 per child and is open to ages 6 – 16.
Tom Sloane, Community Foundation Manager – Ospreys in the Community, commented on the new club:
“We’re extremely excited that we’re able to launch a second mixed ability club within our region in such a short space of time. The team, the staff at Heronsbridge School and our community coaches have done such a fantastic job over the last few months in Bridgend and we’re really looking forward to being able to replicate that in Swansea.
“It’s always such a delight to be at the sessions and see children who perhaps traditionally haven’t been able to take part in rugby, or other sports, having fun and enjoying themselves so we’re really looking forward to seeing even more children getting involved. We want as many young people as possible to be able to access sport and fun with family and friends, and having this second club in Swansea will hopefully allow that.”
