The Ospreys are delighted to announce the launch of a Feastival of Rugby and Entertainment at the Swansea.com Stadium. The Feastival will take place before the West Wales Derby vs the Scarlets on the 30th April.
The event, themed the ‘Feastival’, will see an array of fairground rides and a live music stage takes over a section of the main car park. More details announcing the live bands and players who will be involved on stage Q&A’s will be announced in the coming weeks.
With street food, a craft beer tent and a Gin bar all on offer for those supporters looking for a day out ahead of the big kick off. Opening at 1pm it promises to be an action-packed day culminating in a Feast of rugby when the biggest Welsh Derby kicks off.
Access to all fairground rides and live music will be free with a match ticket.
The United Rugby Championship tie between the Ospreys and Scarlets on Saturday 30th April will kick-off at 5:15pm. Its the first time since the Ospreys playoff win in 2019 that both sides have played in front of a crowd at the Swansea.com Stadium. The match is a key fixture in the Ospreys challenge to win the Welsh Shield and guarantee qualification to next season Heineken Champions Cup.
Ospreys Commercial Director Anthony Cole-Johnson said: “We can’t wait to welcome back supporters and to play the West Wales Derby in front of our supporters and community again. To celebrate the return of crowds to this fixture we wanted to organise a special ‘Feastival’ to attract younger supporters and families to the game and give everyone a day to remember. With over 1500 tickets already sold to players from our community rugby clubs, it promises to be a busy day.
The advantage that Toby and his team get from being roared on by a packed house of Ospreys supporters cannot be underestimated.”
