A WRU Professional Disciplinary Panel held a hearing on Wednesday evening to consider the citing complaint made against Ospreys forward Jonathan Thomas for an alleged breach of Law 10.4 (a) (striking an opponent) during his side's Magners League match against Cardiff Blues on Saturday, 24 October.
The panel, chaired by independent solicitor Roger Morris, upheld the citing and deemed the offence to be on the low end of the scale and suspended the player for two weeks from the time of the hearing. Thomas is free to play from Thursday, 12 November, and will miss the first autumn international between Wales and New Zealand.
