The Ospreys today announced the re-signing of Keiran ‘Cannonball’ Williams, an accomplished centre who has become a fan favourite since making his debut.
As one of the most exciting players in Welsh rugby, Williams' commitment to the team will evoke a sense of optimism among the Ospreys faithful.
The 25-year-old centre made his senior debut for the Ospreys back in 2016 against the Harlequins. Since then, Williams has become an important part of the team, earning 51 appearances for the Ospreys to date.
Williams' impressive performances in the game have not gone unnoticed beyond his team. Ospreys head coach, Toby Booth recently referred to Keiran as “one of the most impactful players” when discussing his first season at the club.
Speaking on his new deal, Keiran said:
"The decision was an easy one for me, I'm very happy to be staying with the Ospreys. I'm looking forward to repaying the faith shown in me by the coaches and fans.
"I want to help the team build on the progress we have made so far and achieve our goals."
Head Coach, Toby Booth said:
“We’re really happy to have got this one over the line, Keiran’s attributes make him a potential star of the Ospreys team for years to come.
“Keiran is an excellent example of the Ospreys’ pathway success and we’re looking forward to seeing him continue at where it all started for him.
“This signing is a real statement of intent, and it promises to be an exciting time ahead for all involved.”
