King and Tipuric show the way

Ospreys pair James King and Justin Tipuric will help kick off a series of coaching development events at Llandarcy Academy of Sport next week.

The back-rowers report back to the region from Six Nations duty on Monday morning and go straight back into action, providing the expert guidance at a ‘Tackle & Turnover’ workshop hosted by Matt Silva, WRU Coach Development Officer for the Ospreys region.

The event is open to all active coaches in the Ospreys region and is a ‘bring a player’ practical event, with participants accompanied by a player from their club who will be part of the practical sessions.

‘Tackle & Turnover’ kicks off at 6.30pm, running until 8.00pm and anyone wishing to attend should register at www.wrucoachinglocker.co.uk.

There will be three further events between now and the end of the season, all of which featuring Ospreys players providing specialist advice, as follows:

11th April – “Off the top & hooked on throwing” - Llandarcy

9th May – “Catch & pass” – Llandarcy

31st May – Scrum ready – Abercrave RFC

Registration for all events is open now, or you can email Matt at msilva@wru.co.uk for further information
