Last call for discounted Scarlets tickets

Get your tickets for the big New Year derby clash before Sunday to take advantage of the special price structure. Fixture details to be confirmed next week....

Supporters still to purchase tickets for the second leg of the derby double header against the Scarlets have until this Sunday to purchase their reduced price advance tickets, ahead of the date and kick-off time being confirmed next week.

Local rivals the Scarlets visit the Liberty Stadium on the weekend of 3rd-5th January, just a week or so after the Ospreys make the short journey in the opposite direction for the regular Boxing Day clash.

Confirmation of the time and date of the fixture has been delayed due to that weekend being the 3rd Round of football’s FA Cup, the stage of the competition where our partners at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea City, enter the tournament.

The draw for the 3rd Round Cup will take place at 4.10pm this Sunday, after Round 2 fixtures have been completed. Once it known where and when the Swans are drawn to play, Ospreys Rugby will aim to confirm all details as soon as possible. Discussions relating to this fixture, with both the Swans and the Stadium Management Company, have been ongoing since the fixture list was firs announced.

To reward supporters who were able to commit to attending the game before knowing when exactly it would be played, a limited number of tickets have been released at a special discounted price, which remain available until this coming weekend, after which they will return to the normal pricing structure.

Under this offer standard tickets are priced at just £15 for adults, £5 for children, concessions and students, or £20 for premium seating, £10 for children, concessions and students. They remain available to purchase right up until Saturday from the Ticket Office, or Sunday if buying online.

Ospreys skipper Alun Wyn Jones urged supporters to take advantage of this offer before it expires, saying:

“The derby against the Scarlets is one of the biggest games of the season with a pretty unique atmosphere. Everybody looks forward to it from the first day of the season, and this year will be something special with the first ever back-to-back double header.

“Obviously the uncertainty around the date means some people may have been put off buying tickets yet but it’s great that management at the region have set special prices for those who know they can attend. Hopefully plenty of fans will snap them up before Sunday and get a great bargain for what will, as ever, be a great occasion.

“This game isn’t just about local pride, it’s an important match in its own right as far as the PRO12 goes. With a young group of players we’ll need to dig deep to get the right kind of performance. It’ll take a massive effort on and off the pitch, from players and supporters alike.”

Tickets are available to buy now so be there to show your support for the One True Region by purchasing yours from the Liberty Stadium Ticket Office, online at www.ospreysrugby.com/buytickets or via the Ticket Hotline on 0844 815 6665.
