Ospreys supporters will be able to enjoy a new and innovative catering and hospitality experience at the Liberty Stadium next season after Sodexo won exclusive catering rights at the venue.
One of the UK’s leading providers of award-winning food and hospitality, Sodexo has been awarded the catering contract in a multi-year deal.
With a portfolio of over 50 unique venues, Sodexo bring a wealth of experience of sports stadia catering and hospitality from existing partnerships with the likes of Ascot Racecourse, Newcastle United, Brighton, Everton, Aberdeen, Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and Hampden Park.
They will oversee the stadium’s matchday concourse outlets, hospitality areas, conference facilities and event catering.
Part of the deal will enable Sodexo to introduce new menus, point of sale digital screens and new EPOS payment systems which will ease and improve the speed of purchase and decrease waiting times and queues.
Innovation, quality and attention to detail will be central to Sodexo’s investment, with the supporter and community experience at the heart of the partnership.
Chris Bray, CEO Sports & Leisure Sodexo UK & Ireland, said:
“This new partnership will see Sodexo bring its world-leading expertise in catering, venue and event management to south west Wales. It gives us a great opportunity to deliver a fantastic experience for spectators and host a wide range of conferences and events on non-matchdays.
“At our other stadiums we have strong relationships with the local community, and the Liberty Stadium will be no exception. We look forward to bringing fresh, innovative, responsibly-sourced local produce to stadium visitors.”
Ospreys Rugby look forward to working with Sodexo on a range of ways to improve our matchday operations and will update supporters on new initiatives accordingly as the new campaign approaches.
