Rugby followers can look forward to unprecedented TV coverage of Magners League action this autumn following the release today by Celtic Rugby and their broadcast partners, BBC Wales, Welsh language channel S4C, and international sports broadcaster Setanta Sports, of television schedules for Magners League games up until the new year.
The opening round of matches, the weekend of 1st/2nd September, sees a exciting line up of televised fixtures; Cardiff Blues host Heineken Cup champions, Munster, on Friday night in front of the cameras of BBC Wales, whilst Ulster start the defence of their Magners League title with the visit of previous winners Llanelli Scarlets to Ravenhill on Saturday evening, Setanta Sports Ireland the host broadcaster on what promises to be a great occasion.
Coverage continues throughout the autumn with 37 matches from the first 12 rounds of Magners League fixtures scheduled to be televised by one or more of the broadcasters; there are also plans for a bumper batch of games over the festive Christmas and New Year period when fans can look forward to no less than 10 televised matches overall.
