“Massive month” of rugby awaits the Ospreys

With three Saturday afternoon matches at the Liberty Stadium during December, Ospreys supporters are being urged to buy their tickets for a “massive month” of rugby.

Star studded French side Racing Metro visit Ospreylia on Saturday 6th December in the prime time 3.15pm kick-off slot for a European Rugby Champions Cup clash, before back to back PRO12 games against Ulster (Saturday 20th) and Scarlets (Saturday 27th), both of which kick-off at 5.15pm.

The games are part of a month that will shape the Ospreys’ season, and with tickets for all three selling well, Andrew Millward has called on supporters to pack the Liberty and get behind their region when it needs them.

Millward, Rugby General Manager at the Ospreys, said:

“December is building up to be a massive month with three crucial home games, on Saturday afternoons, that should all be pretty special occasions.

“Racing Metro have got their European campaign off to a flying start with two wins from two so it’s crucial that we put in a quality performance in the first leg of the double header to keep us in contention for the knockout stages.

“Then we have two PRO12 games either side of Christmas that should be absolute crackers. Ulster are currently in third place so it is a must win game as far as the top four and the end of season play-offs are concerned, while the Scarlets game speaks for itself. It’s the biggest game in Welsh rugby and has quickly developed the history and tradition of the pre-regional derby matches with supporters, coaches and players alike.

“I can’t think of a better month at the Liberty Stadium, ever. Tickets are going well for all three games, but I’d like to think with the start to the season that the team has had, sales will accelerate over the next few weeks and we will be looking at three big crowds that will send out a significant message about the Ospreys and the direction we are heading in, on and off the field.”

Tickets for all three games are on sale now at the Liberty Stadium Ticket Office, via the Ticket Hotline on 0844 815 6665 and online at www.ospreysrugby.com/buytickets.
