The Ospreys are proud to announce Morganstone as a shirt sponsor and Premium Partner for the forthcoming 2020/21 season.
Morganstone is one of the most widely known and respected construction companies in Wales, providing high quality developments for housing associations, the public sector, local authorities and private developers.
The South Wales based company was established in 2008 and has become one of the fastest growing businesses in Wales. It established itself as one of largest privately owned construction companies in the country, employing 150 staff, with a turnover close to £40m per year.
Morganstone has been a long-standing supporter of the Ospreys in the Community foundation and the groundbreaking TACKLE initiative designed to work with disaffected young people, aged between 12-24, who are disconnected with school, employment or education.
The company has been on the Ospreys shirt for the last four years and demonstrated its confidence and commitment by signing up as a kit partner once again.
Ian Morgan, Morganstone founder and Managing Director, said:
“We work in the residential market, working with housing associations and we buy land and build developments. We have our sister company, Westacres, which provides homes at a high-end executive level. We work with nearly every housing association across South Wales and we have also done some prestigious projects in Swansea and Cardiff.
“We have all been affected by the Coronavirus Pandemic and it had an impact on our industry and it’s no different with sport. We got a call from the Ospreys to say they weren’t able to use the Llandarcy training facilities because it was being turned into a field hospital. They asked if we could help them relocate to St Helen’s, we had a short period of time to get ready for pre-season training. But we did it, getting the training facilities in place, with a state of the art gym."
Wayne Hall, Ospreys Head of Sales, said:
“When it became clear we needed to find a new training base for the Ospreys, with Llandarcy Academy of Sport becoming a field hospital, Ian Morgan and Morganstone stepped in. They delivered a fantastic facility in record time to allow the Ospreys to return to rugby. It’s an example of the close relationships the Ospreys have with Morganstone and I know all of us regard them as a vital part of the Ospreys family.
"They have demonstrated their confidence, loyalty and support by making the commitment to the Ospreys once again."
