Neath Port Talbot College went down to a strong Coleg Sir Gar team yesterday at Llandarcy. with the visitors running in an impressive five tries.
First score of the afternoon went to Neath Port Talbot Collegewith fly-half Sam Evans kicking a penalty early in the first half. The Llanelli based side answered back quickly with centre Cameron Collins breaking through the defence to score a try.
Fly half Scott Lloyd missed the conversion, but it wasn’t long before Collins ran in his second try of the afternoon. Lloyd adding the extras this time putting the visitors firmly ahead.
Number 8 Gethin Davies also powered through the NPTC defence, going over the whitewash for a try. Despite a missed conversion Coleg Sir Gar held a 14-point lead at half time.

It was the visitors who were the first to put points on the board in the second half, with winger Gino Setaro flying over the line and Loyd adding the extras to keep the scoreboard ticking over for Sir Gar.
Tensions grew high and NPTC’s Tiaan Wheeler and Coleg Sir Gar’s and Cameron Collins were both given yellow cards after a fight broke out between the two. Soon after Neath Port Talbot College found themselves down to thirteen men when number 8 Cory Dyer was sin binned for tackling a player off the ball.
Coleg Sir Gar took advantage with Gino Setaro spying the gap and scoring his second try of the afternoon. There was another missed conversion but it hardly mattered with the score line so comfortably in Sir Gars favour.

Neath Port Talbot College now face the task of travelling to Newport High school next Wednesday 21st September in search for their first win of the season. K.O 14:30.
Elsewhere Bridgend College were given a bye this week and travel to Cowbridge College next Wednesday afternoon and Gower College Swansea made it two wins from two after beating Newport High School 38 – 34. Next week they face Coleg Sir Gar in Llanelli.
