Giorgi Nemsadze has been named in the Georgian side to face Romania on Saturday afternoon
The Lelos are set to defend their European Rugby Championship crown after claiming their seventh title in eight years last season. Nemsadze captained his country to five wins out of five last time around and will no doubt be looking to repeat the feat in this year’s tournament.
Their campaign gets underway in on Saturday afternoon (9th February) when Romania host the Georgians, K.O 2pm (Local time)
The schedule then sees Georgia face Spain at home the following week, before facing Belgium (A), Germany (H) and Russia (A).
Georgia, who pushed Wales all the way at the Principality Stadium in November 2017 when the hosts held on at the death to win 13-6 in the first ever encounter between the two nations, have been drawn in the same pool as Wales at this year’s Rugby World Cup in Japan, alongside Australia, Fiji and Uruguay.
