New Ospreys alternate jersey revealed

Ospreys Rugby will have a startling new look ahead of this evening’s battle with Leicester Tigers at the Bridgend Ford Brewery Field.

This is the first time that a senior Ospreys team has taken to the field kitted out in Canterbury.

230,000 years in the making, the new alternate jersey comes in the traditional Ospreys white with black trim, and features a heavy ‘bedrock’ hoop design sublimated across the body, depicting the historic foundations of Ospreylia.

Supporters will be able to show their colours at tonight’s game by snapping up the new shirt at the Liberty Stadium Club Shop from 10am on Friday morning and at the home of Bridgend Ravens from 5.30pm. The new alternate jersey is also available to buy right now at shop.ospreysrugby.com or canterbury.com.

The jersey features the very latest in rugby technology to create a tougher, stronger, yet more comfortable fit:

  • The integration of Canterbury’s Thermoreg, VapoDri and Vaposhield technology within the fabric ensures optimum comfort and aids playing performance across all disciplines
  • Longer length sleeve constructed with hi-stretch modular fabrication to provide a streamlined finish to the arms
  • Evolved body fabrication to provide increased durability and strength while jersey weight is decreased by 20 grams per square metre
  • Canterbury’s unique Loop neckline providing increased comfort and strength

The eagerly awaited 2017/18 home jersey will be unveiled on Sunday 20th August ahead of the Canterbury Cup clash between Ospreys and Bath at the Liberty Stadium.

The new away jersey is available to by at the Liberty Stadium Club Shop from 10am today and online at shop.ospreysrugby.com now, in children sizes 6-14 years (£48) and adult S-4XL (£60).

NOTES

Thermoreg technology is employed to encourage thermal regulation, ideal for cold training sessions on the field.

VapoDri features throughout the range, designed to wick moisture away from the body and maintain core temperature throughout gruelling workouts.

Vaposhield offers crucial water resistance and quick-dry technology to aid both comfort and training performance.
