8 year old Isaac Norton will deliver the match ball tomorrow, after Ospreys in the Community went on the hunt for one special Ospreys fan.
Earlier on this week Ospreys in theCommunity asked the public to nominate an Ospreys fan who they thought deserved to deliver the match ball ahead of the BIG ONE against the Scarlets.
There were lots of entries received, many of which were for eight year old Isaac Norton, who we’re delighted to announce is the very deserving winner and will be running the ball onto the field ahead of kick off on Saturday night.
Isaac has spent the last two years raising money for JDRF, a charity that supports people with type 1 diabetes, after his best friend was diagnosed with the condition. Starting at just age six, Isaac has since raised a massive £10,000!
The big Ospreys fan has raised £3,000 since January this year alone with his “9 Challenges in 9 Months” that have seen him shave off his hair, wear a pink leotard for his rugby games, walk the length of the Rhondda (11 miles) in a leotard and tutu, complete a 12 hour sponsored silence, give up chocolate for a month, climb Pen Y Fan twice in one day, cycle 65 miles and complete the Iron Kids and Mini Mudder challenges!
Isaac, who will be at the game with his Treorchy U9s team mates who are our second half flag bearers, is one young man very deserving of an Ospreys treat so be sure to give him a big cheer when he brings on the match ball.
