The Ospreys age-grade sides are back in action tonight after kicking off Block 1 of the Regional Age-Grade Championships last week.
The Ospreys U16s East clinched the 26-12 victory against Scarlets U16s West at the Morganstone Brewery Field last week. Despite the Scarlets taking the early lead, the Ospreys answered back with a try from Kian Williams Jones to level the scores 5-5 at half time. A dominant second half display from the young eyasses saw Cori Jenkins, TJ Hayden and Evan Beach all cross the whitewash with Elis Bird and Samson Lawson slotting the extras. Two tries from the Scarlets looked to claw it back for the Ospreys opponents, but the young side were able to dig in deep and pull the win out of the bag.
Elsewhere, their Osprey counterparts, the U16s West battled back from a 10-21 score at half-time to draw the game 31-31 against a tough Dragons Black U16s side at Tondu RFC. Tries from Kian Abraham, Harri Blu Houston in the first half kept the young Ospreys in the game. But a stronger second half display from the team saw the youngsters pull it back, with Lewis Nolan scoring a try and Morgan Morse scoring a brace. Rhys Harries perfectly executing the conversions brought the scores level at the final whistle.
The Ospreys U18s travelled to Parc Y Scarlets to face local rivals, the Scarlets U18s. Oliver Burrows and Kyan Lloyd crashed over to score for the Ospreys, but the hosts managed to overpower their opponents to steal the 22-12 win over the Ospreys.
