Ospreys Boys U18s were last night crowned RAG Champions.
The title was guaranteed before the final round after dominant performances saw the boys go clear at the top of the table last week. Convincing home and away victories over Dragons, Scarlets and RGC and an away victory in Cardiff were enough to secure the cup despite a final round 7 – 0 loss to Cardiff in a tight game.
The league finished with the Ospreys 7 points clear at the top of the league with 35 points from seven wins.
It’s been an incredible season for the young men in black who’ve shown determination, skill and perseverance throughout. Coach Paul James was quick to praise the performance of his team:
“Overall, the boys have done really well. They can hold their heads up high and they can be proud. We’ve had early morning training sessions and I feel it’s pulled them together and they’ve come together well as a group. I’m just really proud of them and happy to see them lift the cup at the end.”
Captain Evan Hill said the boys were proud of their overall win, despite the final game:
"We've got to be happy, we've done well and we've won the trophy. The boys have done themselves proud."
