New Chairman, Rob Davies, has welcomed today’s update from the Professional Rugby Board (PRB), which confirms the future of Ospreys Rugby.
He said:
“This latest update from PRB is excellent news for all concerned with Ospreys Rugby. It underlines the certainty that we now have around our future, guaranteeing that the Ospreys are here to stay. This certainty allows us to step up preparations for next season, in particular our retention and recruitment, in earnest.
“As the PRB update alludes to, it is essential now that we all come together, supporters, commercial partners, staff and players, to help drive Ospreys Rugby onto continued, sustainable success, starting this Saturday with a Welsh derby against the Dragons at the Liberty Stadium.
“It is important to also put on record my gratitude for the manner in which Monday’s PRB meeting, my first, was conducted. All parties around the table share a common desire and outlook on how the five rugby ‘entities’ in Wales can collectively build on the outstanding achievements of the national team in recent weeks.”
