Today we have a guest feature, submitted by a student from Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Llangynwyd, about the recent Ospreys in the Community Inclusion Festival!
On the 6th of March 2024, 9 KS3 learners learners had the opportunity to join a Rugby day with Ospreys in the Community down in Llandarcy, Swansea.
Ospreys in the Community is a non-profit organization that works in close partnership with the Ospreys. Everyone had a fun day and everyone enjoyed it, learners and staff alike!!
"On the 6th of March we went to the Ospreys Six Nations Championship down in Llandarcy for the Osprey Community Inclusion Festival.
There were over 20 schools/bases there with us to complete a number of activities such as obstacle courses, practicing wheelchair rugby tactics, rugby ball throwing skills, passing skills and reaction skills. During the afternoon there was a touch rugby championship. We won our game by scoring 5 tries.
I really enjoyed the day with the Ospreys. There were lots of things to do there, it was a fun day with friends." (Jakob Saunders, Year 9)

Mae’r Gweilch yn y Gymuned (Ospreys in the Community) yn sefydliad di-elw sydd yn gweithio mewn partneriaeth agos â'r Gweilch. Cafodd pawb diwrnod hwyl ac mi oedd pawb wedi mwynhau, ddysgwyr a staff!!
“Ar y 6ed o Fawrth aethon ni i'r Bencampwriaeth chwe gwlad y Gweilch lawr yn Llandarcy ar gyfer Gŵyl Cynhwysiant Cymunedol y Gweilch.
Roedd yna dros 20 ysgol/bas yna gyda ni i gwblhau nifer o weithgareddau fel cwrs rwystrau, ymarfer tactegau rygbi cadair olwyn, sgiliau taflu pêl rygbi, sgiliau pasio a sgiliau ymateb. Yn ystod y prynhawn roedd pencampwriaeth rygbi cyffwrdd. Enillion ni ein gem gan sgorio 5 cais.
Rydw i wedi mwynhau'r Ospreys. Roedd llawer o bethau i wneud, roedd ên diwrnod hwyl gyda ffrindiau.” (Jakob Saunders, Bl.9)
