Despite the Ospreys West side leading at half time, a strong second half performance from the team from the East gained them a 18 - 8 victory
When the two Under 16's development sides from the Regionmet last month, the team from the East convincingly beat the side from the West 34 - 0. It was a much tighter affair as the two teams played each other again last night at Llandarcy with just ten points separating the teams at the final whistle.
It was a close start to the game as both teams looked for an opportunity to get through the other's defence. It was the end of the first quarter before anyone found the required gap, Jack Deere slipping over for the East to open the scoring. With Ben Lacey's conversion attempt not finding it's mark they missed out on the extra three points that are awarded for a conversion in this competition.
The U16's from the East were unable to hold their lead for long, as just four minutes later Jacob Kennedy Evans crossed over for the West to even the scores. A minute later Liam Byrne adding a successful conversion to give the West U16's Development team the lead which they kept hold of for the rest of the first half.

The Ospreys East started the second half with renewed purpose, with just two minutes played Lacey raced over the line for their second try of the evening. However unable to convert his own efforts, their lead stayed at just two points.
With the game so tight it really could have been anyone's as the two Ospreys sides battled it out in the second half. With just four minutes remaining it was the replacements for the side from the East of Ospreylia that made the difference. Leon Evans crashing over the line before fellow substitute Sam Evans added the conversion to bring the scoring to a close.
