Ospreys players met supporters on Saturday afternoon, as they helped an Italian fashion label launch its first ever UK collection at Tempo Clothing in Neath, and the Ospreys Superstore at the Liberty Stadium.
Tommy Bowe, Alun Wyn Jones, Mike Phillips and Shane Williams mingled with fans young and old for an hour at Tempo where the clothing range is being sold, before heading off to the Ospreys Superstore ahead of their team’s Magners League win over Glasgow, where they were joined not only by Ryan Jones, but members of the three college rugby team’s in Ospreylia.
Freee is a youth oriented designer brand that has already formed a working partnership with the Ospreys through it's sponsorship of the innovative college rugby programme, with the Bridgend College, Gower College Swansea and Neath Port Talbot College sides all proudly wearing the company's logo on the front of their rugby strips.
The spring/summer collection is the first that Freee have ever released directly into the UK, and off the back of the existing partnership, will initially be available exclusively at Tempo stores in Carmarthen, Neath and Swansea, and at the Ospreys Superstore.
Paul Moruzzi of Tempo said:
“It was fantastic to have the Ospreys players instore for the launch. They really helped to create a buzz, and we had fans queuing outside the door before they arrived. They were brilliant, signing autographs and posing for pics and certainly helped to launch the Freee range in style.”
Some of the most recognisable players at the Ospreys took part in a fashion shoot with Italian models earlier this week, and the resulting images will be used Europe wide to promote the label."
