We’re calling on our supporters to use their New Years resolutions to help others this January.
Have you made a New Years Resolution this January? Perhapsit’s to give up smoking or get more active? Whatever your New Year promise, why not use it to raise money for our charity partners Tenovus Cancer Care and Ospreys in the Community.
If you’re looking to give up smoking then how about for the month of January you give the money you would have spent on cigarettes to our charities. If you’re taking part in Dry January, then the price of a few pints could go directly towards supporting cancer patients and children in Wales.
If you want to lose some weight after Christmas, how about asking friends and family to pay a pound for a pound, or if it’s your January plan to get more active, ask people to sponsor you for every mile you cycle or run through the month?
You can set up an online giving page that benefits Tenovus Cancer Care and Ospreys in the Community equally at virginmoneygiving.com or btplc.com/mydonate. Just create your challenge, add both charities and write your story before sharing it far and wide to let everyone know what you’re doing and why. You’ll raise much needed money that helps the charities to continue the incredible work they do, and with everyone knowing your resolution you’re more likely to stick to it.
