Ospreys release new face coverings

Ospreys supporters can now get their hands on our reusable face coverings to wear when lockdown restrictions ease in Wales.

When deemed safe and appropriate, Ospreys Rugby want to be one of the first to help those in our local communities to reconnect with the outside world. Our branded cosmetic face coverings, the first of its kind in Welsh rugby, are reusable and have the option of adding a filter* giving you the chance to support the Ospreys whilst you’re around the community on your essential travels.

Here at the Ospreys, we’ll be donating these around the community including to all our season members aged over 70, our Sporting memories groups based at Dunvant RFC, Swansea RFC, The Village Hotel Swansea, Neath RFC and Briton Ferry RFC.  We’ll also be providing face coverings to our inclusive community clubs at Heronsbridge and Llangatwg School and a select few groups around the region including the Ospreys Supporters Club.

We’ll be contacting season members and those groups in the next few days to arrange safe deliveries and collections. If you or someone you know would like to get your hands on an Ospreys face covering, here’s your chance! You can nominate someone who has gone above and beyond during these unprecedented times and they could be one of the first to wear them.

Whether they've been busy delivering food to those in need in their community or they've taken on a new role of home-schooling their children, send in your stories using this link.

Keep an eye out on our social media for a few familiar faces wearing them during training.

After we've made our donations throughout the region, we'll be looking at putting a limited number on sale with proceeds being donated to our local NHS.

The current advice from the Welsh Government remains to stay at home, to protect the NHS and save lives.
