The Ospreys will return to the Gnoll for a second Guinness PRO14 clash when they host reigning champions Leinster on Friday, February 21st at 19:35pm.
Neath RFC successfully hosted the visit of the South African side, the Cheetahs, for the Ospreys PRO14 game back in November. It marked the return of the region to Wales' oldest rugby club after an absence of 14 years.
The Ospreys now return again to the Gnoll and will face the reigning PRO14 champions and former European champions, Leinster, in what promises to be an intriguing tussle at the home of the Welsh All Blacks.
Andrew Millward, the Ospreys Managing Director, played in the Ospreys' first game at the Gnoll back in 2003.
"Neath are one of the foundation clubs of the Ospreys and we are delighted to be back at the Gnoll after a recent return which proved popular with everyone involved," said Millward.
"The Ospreys are proud to represent all 77 clubs in our region and we have made no secret of our ambition to embrace them and all of our region over the coming seasons."
While the Ospreys are based at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea, the 'Ospreylia' region stretches from Wales' second city to Port Talbot, Aberavon and as far as Bridgend, taking in rugby clubs in the towns and villages across the region.
Matt Church, CEO of Neath RFC, and his team worked closely with the Ospreys to bring the team back for a second successive competitive game this season.
"We are delighted to welcome the Ospreys and indeed the PRO14 back to The Gnoll for the second time this season," said Church.
"We are working hard to put the club, facilities and our relationship with the community back where they belong; a relationship like we are currently enjoying with the Ospreys goes some way to achieve that goal."
The Gnoll was the joint-home for the Ospreys for the first two years of the region's history before they moved to the Liberty Stadium in Swansea back in 2005.
The Ospreys lifted the first Celtic League trophy with a 29-12 win over Edinburgh in their last competitive fixture at the Gnoll in 2005 before their return for the two PRO14 games this season.
The move to play games around the region follows a successful trip to the Brewery Field last season, and another enjoyable pre-season, non-competitive match at The Gnoll against Hartpury back in August.
