The Ospreys recorded a fifth straight bonus point win in the Challenge Cup this season on Sunday afternoon to earn a first ever home quarter-final in European competition.
They ran in seven tries as they defeated Lyon 47-7 at the Liberty to maintain their incredible campaign, in which they have secured the maximum 25 points from the first five matches – only the fifth team ever to do so.
There is one more game to play, with the Ospreys away to Newcastle Falcons at Kingston Park next Saturday evening, kicking off at 5.00pm.
With Pool 2 wrapped up with a match to spare, the Ospreys have guaranteed themselves a home tie in the last eight, with the fixture to be played on the weekend of Thursday 30th March-Sunday 2nd April. The time and date of the fixture will be confirmed dependent on TV scheduling and Swansea City’s home game against Middlesbrough, which is set for 3pm on April 1st. Full ticketing details for the last eight tie will be confirmed once the draw and schedule is known so keep checking official Ospreys media channels for updates.
