Congratulations to Filo Tiatia and his wife Sally from everyone at the Ospreys on the recent birth of twin daughters Gianna and Emina.
The new additions to the family were born on the evening of Friday 11th April, the night before the EDF Energy Cup Final at Twickenham.
Filo stayed behind in Swansea when the Ospreys squad headed off to London for the match to be with Sally, and there was every chance that he may have had to miss the game if things had worked out differently. As it was, he was able to travel to the game on the Saturday morning, being picked up from home by Ospreys Director of Rugby Kevin Hopkins at 6am and being driven to London to meet the squad, allowing Filo to catch up on his sleep en-route.
Filo put in a typically barn storming display at Twickenham, and was influential as the Ospreys won 23-6 against Leicester to make it a perfect double for him that weekend.
Filo said:
"It was the perfect weekend for me, with an EDF Energy Cup winners medal to go with two beautiful new daughters. As a family we are settled and are enjoying our time in Swansea, and with our two new additions being born in the city we will have two permanent reminders of our time here."
