Head Coach, Steve Tandy, commented:
“It’s crucial that we put in a much improved performance after the disappointment of last weekend in Edinburgh. We know how tough it’s going to be going to a Glasgow team that has been playing really well and is full of confidence, so we need to make a huge step up in terms of what we did last time out.
“Week in, week out, we talk about attention to detail, accuracy, being clinical and knowing your roles, and the Edinburgh game showed what happens when we don’t hit the expected standards. That’s been the message over the course of this week, and we’ve been making sure that the boys are focused on the important things ahead of such a big game.
“We’ve got some of our international boys back in the mix this week, and it’s a first game in more than a year for Ryan Bevington, so we are looking a little better in terms of depth, but we have to make that count, particularly at the start of a three game run that will be massive in terms of the end of season run-in and the play-off spots.
“After Saturday we are back home at the Liberty after five consecutive away games, and we are really excited about facing Leinster and Munster in front of our own fans who can help push us over the line. However, we have to realise that going to Glasgow on Saturday and putting a winning performance in is the first and foremost priority.”
