As we welcome one of the most successful teams in the BKT URC, we took a look at Leinster to see how their season is going and what you can expect from the Irish powerhouses.
11 games, 11 wins in the BKT URC. Leinster are having a great start to their season; only Leinster themselves have recorded a longer winning streak at the start of a campaign, winning all 17 games on their way to the title in 2019/20.
Led by the performances of the Josh Van Der Flier, World Rugby Player of the Year, Leinster have continued their tradition of starting the season off strong.
They aren’t just the league leader in wins, the Irish outfit have the highest tackle success rate of any side in this season’s United Rugby Championship (89%) while only 22% of their missed tackles have led to a line break or a try, the best rate of any team in the competition.
Leinster also have a dangerous duo in the form of Dan Sheehan and Rob Russell, the pair rank joint-second for tries scored in this season’s BKT URC.
