One of the biggest rivalries in rugby, Ospreys and Scarlets have played each other countless times over the years, with Ospreys just about being ahead on the wins scoreboard.
The first time the teams played was back in 2004 and it was the Scarlets who came away victorious in that one, winning 28-15 at Stradey.
Facing each other a grand total of 39 times in the league, the fixture has turned neighbours into nemeses on a regular basis. In those games, Ospreys have won 21 times, Scarlets have won 16 and we have seen two draws.
Ospreys have edged the battle for points, 801 to Scarlets’ 697, and led the try tally with 74 compared to the Scarlets’ 60.
The last three games between the teams have seen a win apiece and a draw. Perhaps the most memorable game of the three for Ospreys fans being a monstrous 54-36 win that saw the Ospreys score eight tries against their fiercest rivals.
The last time the two teams faced each other was earlier this season, the game ended with an Ospreys try in overtime and a crucial conversion from Jack Walsh to tie the game.
