As the Ospreys look to welcome one of the strongest sides they'll face this season, we took a look at some of the travelling teams standout players.
From a star South African, to some quality internationals that have been released from Irish camp, here is this week's Ones to Watch.
Jacob Stockdale
One of the top wingers in world rugby, Stockdale was released from international duty to take part against the Ospreys.
An explosive and powerful winger, Stockdale set the 2018 Six Nations tournament alight for Ireland, as he broke the try scoring record with seven tries during the competition. He rightly rewarded for his performances during the tournament, picking up the player competition.
Steven Kitshoff
Kitshoff was one of the big signings of the summer at the end of the 22/23 season and it’s easy to see why.
The two-time Rugby World Cup winner has been heralded for his influence since joining the squad but it’s the stuff that he does on the pitch that often catches the eye. The South African is surprisingly mobile for a player of his size and he uses that mobility to carry effectively and put pressure on the opposition breakdown.
With the two World Cups and a BKT URC trophy under his belt already, it’s fair to say that Kitshoff is a born winner.
Iain Henderson
Captain for Ulster since 2019, Henderson has been there and done it all. The lock has two British and Irish Lions tours under his belt and played a vital part of Ireland’s 2019 World Cup squad in Japan, the 2023 Guinness Six Nations Grand Slam success and was a part of the Ireland team that reached the Quarter-finals of the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
Aside from being another serial winner, Henderson is a leader, having also captained the national team on two occasions.
